Smiling girl and her dad with a big community takeaway CAN WE HELP YOU? As a community we will beat food poverty

The Big Community Takeaway is run by the community, for the community

We’re here to help people in our community who are struggling, for whatever reason. We do this without judgement, with love and care, bringing support where it’s needed.

We offer those who need it a hot, freshly cooked, two-course meal. We can only do this because we have a team of amazing volunteers who help prepare, cook and deliver the food. At the moment, we provide services in two locations in Buckinghamshire – Chesham, Amersham and surrounding villages AND High Wycombe.

Our Chesham, Amersham and surrounding villages service operates mainly from the Jubilee Hall, Rectory Hill, Amersham.

Our High Wycombe service is run in conjunction with Wycombe Wanderers Sports and Education Trust, whose kitchen at Adams Park is where we prepare and cook the food. We’re supported by volunteers from the One Can Trust.

We rely on donations to keep providing the service we do and every penny counts. You can use our JustGiving page if you’d like to donate to our vital work.

In addition, we’ve been generously supported through grants from The Clare Foundation, Heart of Bucks, Helping Hand and the Local Community Boards.
